39th Australian Dental Congress

Thursday 8 to Saturday 10 May 2025

From May 8-10 next year the Australian Dental Association will hold the Australian Dental Congress 2025 at the purpose-built Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) in Western Australia’s beautiful capital. Centered around the theme, “Educating for Dental Excellence,” the event promises to be the region’s premier dental conference, offering over 200 hours of world-class presentations, workshops, and informal learning sessions, making it the leading CPD event for dental practitioners in Australia.

The Main Scientific Program (MSP) will take place over three information-rich days, featuring multiple streams running concurrently, ensuring there are valuable learning opportunities for all dental professionals across a range of career stages and professional interests. Delegates will be able to explore topical themes through workshops and Lunch & Learn sessions hosted by international and Australian experts. Key MSP topics include AI and digital dentistry, prosthodontics, restorative oral surgery, special needs dentistry/paediatrics, oral medicine, periodontics, and dental trauma. 

The event will cater to an international audience of dentists, dental specialists and practice owners with focus on AI in dentistry, practice management, effective communication with clients, dental photography, and financial management, highlighted in a series of interactive masterclasses.


International speakers announced 

The first internationally recognised keynote speakers have been announced: 

Professor Hom-Lay Wang – A leading figure in Periodontics and implant-related defects, Dr. Wang will present on "Advancement in Horizontal Bone Augmentation. 

Dr. Jason Smithson – Known for his expertise in direct composite resin artistry, Dr. Smithson will offer insights into the “Direct Restoration of the Posterior Dentition: A Biomimetic Approach. 

Dr. Marta Revilla-León – A specialist in digital dentistry with extensive research in 3D printing and AI applications in dentistry, Dr. Revilla-León will bring a future-focused perspective to the Congress.

Additional international and local speakers, as well as key program streams and highlights will continue to be released over the coming months. Registration is expected to open in early November.

The event returns to Perth, Western Australia for the first time since 2009 and is expected to attract delegates from around Australia, Asia Pacific and South-East Asia.
