This one day course is meant to help the dental clinician to have a review of OFP and TMD; screen for these disorders; help identify ominous signs of OFP and make succinct, prompt referrals to medical colleagues; Also to help avoid the frustration of managing these conditions. This course will consist of a half day lecture component followeed by a hands -on session which guide participants through carrying out a full TMJ examination. Depending on the number of attendees additional oral medicine specialists with be in attendance to assist with hands oncomponent. You will: - have a broad understanding of Orofaial Pain and TMD - understand the clinical screening for OFP conditions and ominous signs of pain - learn basic cranial nerve screening - learn basic clinical OFP examination and TMJ examination - learn Head and neck screening in the context of OFP and TMD - begin to understand when and to who to refer a case of OFP/TMD Presented by Dr Davis Thomas
